About David J. Teter:

I grew up in an artistic family who appreciated good design and began drawing and painting from a young age. Art materials included  paint, crayons or pencil applied to any flat surface. One of my earliest memories includes finger painting whales to pass the time while imagining distant places. During my childhood, I was inspired by art books and from watching my parents’ draw while I developed my own sense of style.  One of my fondest memories is the hours I spent during school sketching while my favorite teacher was lecturing. While this behavior was not always engaging to my teacher, it prepared me for an art career. She requested I channel my talents into doing the class room displays for her. I drew anything that came to mind and since I was born with an inquisitive personality, I found it easy to communicate visually.

Throughout my adulthood, I have continually experimented with numerous styles and subjects. As my parents guided me and I matured as an artist, I focused on industrial and figurative art.  My father who was an industrial designer and my mother, a talented artist both influenced me.  Following my passion I graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena with a Bachelor’s Degree in Illustration; which led to my decision to work in the fine arts. At Art Center, I learned the value of developing strong concepts for each body of work. My current works are represented as individual series as opposed to individual and separate works.

    • Hi leslie,
      Thank you for your interest.
Please click the Home button then hover over and click any artwork to see additional information.
      Scroll down.
Dimensions listed are the measurements of the original art, not the frames, some art is framed some is not.
Click any (unframed) pic, the smaller pic below, to enlarge the original artwork.
There are a couple bugs I am still working out, a couple don’t enlarge properly and I have not yet been able to get the PayPal button/link to function.
